There is not much that we here at American Capital Group love more than working with local businesses. Well perhaps working with local businesses AND eating great barbeque! It’s amazing how incredible the food tastes when it comes from the kitchen of a successful customer and even better when you know the proceeds are going to a noble cause.
The Beach Pit BBQ, with six locations throughout Orange County, is a recent customer of ours. American Capital Group is proud to have helped the owner, Tim DeCinces, over the last few years secure equipment leases for several locations. Providing access to capital is how we traditionally help our customers but when we heard about the Beach Pit BBQ’s latest charitable idea, ACG bit at the opportunity.
In an effort to raise money and awareness for the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Tim decided that he would generously donate 50% of sales from all six Beach Pit BBQ locations on March 28th, to Japanese charities. As if that wasn’t good enough, Tim was also able to convince Saddleback Church to match his donations through their PEACE relief mission program. With that partnership in mind, American Capital Group thought the least we could do to support a great customer and cause was to order a large Party Package for the entire company! Contributing to a charity is normally sufficient “food for the soul” but that phrase gets whole new meaning when it is accompanied by slow-smoked brisket, ribs, pulled pork and chicken with all the tasty sides. Wow, what a meal – thanks Tim!!!
Our Mission at American Capital Group is to deliver innovative equipment financing solutions that enhance the lives of our customers, employees and community. I’m proud to say that today was a perfect example of that code being realized.
